The Viking chief Stavar lived a 1000 years ago in the same region on the island of Gotland, Sweden, where the company StavarNet works today. The tales about Stavar has been alive in the region for 1000 years. Among other things he is said to have dug down a big treasure containing silver and gold. More than 800 treasures from vikinga age - middle age have been found on Gotland but it does not often happen that tradtion can be tied to a certain find. In the year 1975 a treasure anyway was found at the place that has been mentioned. - A schoolclass that played old time found some coins in a rabbit's hole! The treasure turned out to contain many hundreds of Arabian silvercoins and fingerrings and armrings of silver. |
